  1. Vulcanization is a technique for hardening 
  2. rubber by heating and chemically combining it 
  3. with sulphur. The process also makes the 
  4. rubber stronger and more elastic. If the 
  5. sulphur content is increased to as much as 
  6. 30%, the product is the inelastic solid known 
  7. as ebonite.
